Christina Maimone, PhD
Northwestern University; Northwestern IT Research Computing Services
Staff
I am the Research Data Services Lead with Northwestern IT Research Computing Services. I develop and provide data science services and training for researchers across Northwestern with a team of staff and student consultants. I am presenting work done in collaboration with Celia O'Brien, Brigid Dolan, Marianne Green, and others from the Feinberg Augusta Webster, MD, Office of Medical Education (AWOME) over the past two years on narrative feedback in medical student portfolios.
In addition to collaborating with Northwestern researchers as a part of Northwestern IT Research Computing Services, I am also a lecturer in Northwestern's Master's in Health Analytics program, where I teach data visualization and storytelling. My career has involved applying computational social science and data science skills to research projects, first for government clients and now for academic researchers, as well as teaching those skills to others. While I work with a wide range of technologies and data science approaches, I specialize in projects that involve collecting new data, text analysis, and communicating effectively with data visualizations. I have a a PhD in political science and MS in statistics from Stanford University.
