Kasen Culler
Northwestern University, MS4
Student
My name is Kasen Culler and I am currently a 4th-year medical student at the Feinberg School of Medicine. I grew up in a very small town in rural Ohio and later received a biomedical engineering degree from Northwestern University. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in research at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, which I continued during my gap year after graduation. I worked in the Center for Bionic Medicine and became involved in studies involving robotic lower-limb prosthetics with powered knee and ankle joints. At Feinberg, I have been involved in research in global health and the Department of Ophthalmology, and more recently developed an interest in medical education. I am planning to apply into the field of Internal Medicine this year, and I look forward to continuing my involvement in research during my residency.
