Instructor of Medicine, Research Fellow, MPH Student
I am a current first-year General Internal Medicine Clinical Research Fellow at Northwestern University. My interests in medical education and clinical research started in medical school at the University of California, San Diego. During that time, I led our pre-medical mentoring program and taught our annual nutrition workshop for high school students. Simultaneously, with the mentorship of Drs. Jeanne F. Nichols and Linda Hill, and the support of a National Institutes of Health T35 Short Term Research Training Grant (5T35HL007491), I pursued my interests in public health and prevention with the Exercise and Physical Activity Resource Center. Together, we completed several projects related to obesity, physical activity and cardiovascular fitness. During residency here at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, I built on my interest in medical education, completing the Medical Education Clinical Scholars Certificate Program. I also developed a particular interest in women’s preventive cardiometabolic health through completion of the Women’s Health Track with Dr. Brigid M. Dolan and participation in epidemiologic research with Dr. Sadiya S. Khan. I am thoroughly looking forward to continuing to pursue these interest in medical education and clinical research during my fellowship at here at Northwestern.
