I am a board-certified pediatric cardiologist with expertise in non-invasive cardiac imaging including advanced transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, fetal echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. With a goal of providing consistent, high quality care to my pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease, I am invested in improving outcomes for my patients from birth to adulthood via a multidimensional perspective. My research interests include the utilization of quality improvement processes at various levels to advance the quality of non-invasive cardiac imaging, application of stress perfusion cardiac MRI in pediatric patients, and use of focused cardiac ultrasound. I enjoy my time spent in the educational aspects of cardiology and cardiac imaging in particular; for diverse sets of learners including but not limited to medical students, sonographers, fellows and faculty from various subspecialties. In addition to being an advocate for the wellness of medical providers, I enjoy most my interaction with medical students discussing issues of personal and professional identity.
